Local busses bound for Hinokage from the Nobeoka Bus Center cost 1,370 yen and depart approximately every hour on the half-hour between 6:30 and 19:50.

Highway busses bound fro Hinokage from Kumamoto Station cost 2,650 yen and depart at 9:01, 14:31, and 17:01.
